A LITTLE HELP
Let’s get you running.
Version 0.4.6 is free, with no ads or real-money purchases. Home has Wardrobe, Play and Settings. Every outfit, hat and skateboard is free: preview it, then choose Wear. Equipping the skateboard changes jumps to ollies and ducking to a belly ride. Your current run score appears at the top center while running, with your best and world rank on the results screen.
Your name and world rank
The updated website asks you to choose a made-up name before reaching Home. Internet is needed for this first reservation. Next time, you will see “Welcome back” and your nickname instead. Returning players can play offline after the game loads. Earlier app builds may still offer an offline skip. No password, Google or Apple login is needed. If a name is taken, accept the numbered suggestion or choose another. Each installed app or browser keeps its own private identity: there is no cross-device login. Finish an online run to earn a rank; equal best scores share a place. Practice, auto previews and runs without an available ranking connection do not post scores. Your older local best may differ from your online best.
Open Settings > About > Your name & ranking to refresh your place or delete your leaderboard entry. Deletion needs confirmation and keeps your local best and outfit. Deleting storage does not delete server records. Your nickname alone cannot recover a lost identity.
Keep local progress safe
Clearing site data, private browsing, switching devices or uninstalling may lose local progress. Don’t clear data to troubleshoot a save warning. Development-site saves do not automatically transfer to dino404.app. Older cloud accounts have not been automatically deleted; contact support if you need help removing an earlier account.
Controls
Use left/right arrows to change lanes, Space to jump and the down arrow to duck. On touch screens, swipe left/right, up to jump and down to duck. Corner controls pause and change your view. Optional practice is under Settings > How to play.
